In this series of contemplative portraits, I experimented with photographic techniques to create a random patterning and destruction of the photographic ideals of clarity and precision.
While murky, these images reward with the revelation of something, my body and my presence. The body is cropped and photographed as mass. When transformed by process, the body and skin transform into layers of sensibility and emotion.

Sam, as per my suggestions back at the beginning of October, please go back and add some of these artists into your artist research and do some experimenting with embroidery on your photos.

Continue to look at the idea of creating a typology of commercialism. Look at the work of bird and breacher and also the series on abandon houses by Kevin Bauman and Georgios Makkas. Go and photograph lots more shop fronts go up into town and the west end and photograph as many as you can

26/09 Has printed original cling film faces in black and white, cut out sections, and soaked them in inks. Need to do with 3 more, photograph them and upload to Weebly. - complete in lesson on Tuesday, 1st Oct. With string images, will take sections and fill them in with colour and play around with the opacity. Turn images into b+w and then sew on top with string. Complete by end of next week 04/10.
